Bio
Dr., Dr. Eng, Stéphanie LIZY-DESTREZ is Associate Professor, Head of program of TAS-ASTRO, ISAE-SUPAERO Advanced Master in Space Systems Engineering, of the Space Systems stream of ISAE-SUPAERO Master of Science and of the “Design and Operations of Space systems » sector-focused courses of the engineering program. Moreover, she is also in charge of the SEEDS Master (Space Exploration and Development Systems). She graduated ISAE-SUPAERO in 1995. She has more than 14 years of industrial experience in space systems, from design to operations. She has deployed an interdisciplinary approach for Earth Observation, Telecommunications, and Human spaceflight missions. She was, in particular, a Vehicle Engineer on ATV (Automated Transfer Vehicle) first flight. In July 2009, Stéphanie joined the ISAE-SUPAERO. Then, she graduated with a PhD in a dual diploma from ISAE-SUPAERO and the University of Stuttgart, in space mechanics. Associate Professor in Space Systems Engineering at ISAE-SUPAERO, head of the Space Advanced Concepts Team, conducting research in Astrodynamics in the Three-Body Problem, human and robotic space exploration, and space sustainability.
Technical skills : Space Systems, Astrodynamics, Space environment, Guidance Navigation, and Control systems, Mechanism and Robotics, Flight Operations, RendezVous...
Behavioral skills : Team leadership, international collaboration, expertise management, result-orientation, long-term commitment (PhD)
Teachings
Space Mechanics (Keplerian motion, Rendezvous, CR3BP)
Introduction to Space Systems
Space Systems Design (AOCS, GNC, Thermal control, mission analysis)
Human Spaceflight
Introduction to Systems Engineering
Research
Mission analysis in the Earth-Moon Three Body-Problem
Rendezvous with non-collaborative target
Human and robotic exploration of the Moon, Mars, and Asteroids
Volunteering
As a volunteer and a mentor at OSE-l’ISAE, she trains students who will, in turn, teach sciences and technologies to children from rural or disadvantaged areas. She organizes events for young people to meet inspiring researchers and engineers and encourage them to pursue higher education. I am personally engaged in more diversity in space science and industry.
