Research Interests

Dr Benard’s current research areas are in Aircraft Design (since 2016) & Applied Aerodynamics (since 1990). From 2010 to 2016, I was involved in Micro Aerial Vehicle (J.-M. Moschetta’s group) and in Unsteady Aerodynamics. Beyond those two research directions he has published papers in the areas of Compressible flows, Applied Aerodynamics, Convective Heat transfer, Flow/ Boundary Layer Manipulation, Multiphase flows (see below and full publications list).

Aircraft Design

Within the Aircraft Design research group, Dr Benard co-supervised or is supervising four thesis :

Micro Aerial Vehicle (MAV)

Within the MAV research group, Dr Benard co-supervised three thesis :
