Supersonic jet noise :
large eddy simulations
— compressible Navier Stokes equations in cylindrical coordinates
— low-dissipation and low-dispersion numerical methods, high order of accuracy
— mesh containing up to 500 millions of nodes
acoustic components specific to supersonic jets such as broadband shock-associated noise and screech noise
noise generation mechanisms
frequency-wavenumber decompositions, comparison with analytical dispersion relations
Supersonic impinging jets :
