Sophia Salas Cordero

Sophia Salas Cordero is a PhD Candidate and part-time lecturer in the Department of Complex Systems Engineering at ISAE-SUPAERO, France. Sophia obtained her BSc and MSc in Mechatronics and Robotics at Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Later she obtained her second MSc, in Space and Engineering Systems at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology is a graduate research university located in Moscow, Russia. It was established in 2011 as a cooperation between MIT in the United States and the Government of the Russian Federation).

Sophia is an Associate Systems Engineering Professional certified by INCOSE. She is experienced in working with Systems Engineering Methodologies, with research that includes Conceptual Concurrent Design for MBSE applied to Space Systems. Her previous background was in Mechatronics ; specialized in Control Systems. Her current research interests include Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, Concurrent Engineering, Risk and Obsolescence Management.
