 RESEARCH AREAS

Sustainable Aviation

• Development of AeroMAPS, an open-source framework for performing multidisciplinary assessment of prospective scenarios for air transport
• Modeling of Air Transport System : air traffic, aircraft fleet including renewal, aircraft energy including several pathways of alternative energy carriers
• Modeling and assessment of climate and energy resources issues for air transport
• Integration of economics in terms of costs (Energy, Direct Operating Costs, Recurring and Non-Recurring Costs)
• Application to the simulation and evaluation of sustainable scenarios for air transport

Aircraft Design

• Contribution to the development of FAST-OAD, an open-source framework for performing rapid Overall Aircraft Design
• Development of a specific Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) module for FAST-OAD in order to estimate the environmental impacts of new aircraft architectures
• Modeling of aircraft systems (ECS, IPS, thermal management) and aircraft engines
• Sizing application to a bleedless and more efficient aircraft architecture

 TEACHING ACTIVITIES

• Lectures and tutorials on sustainable aviation : climate impacts, levers of action, prospective scenarios (using AeroMAPS)
• Lectures and tutorials on overall aircraft design
• Lectures and tutorials on life cycle assessment applied to aviation
